FAQs

The Bower Estate sits in the lands of the Yugambeh language group. We encourage you to visit the City of Gold Coast website to see the formally approved acknowledgement wording to include in your proceedings here.

Whilst we do not welcome pets to the property generally, we do allow pets that form an integral part of your ceremony. As we are a protected wilderness area, we just like to make sure we’ve considered everything before giving you a formal approval. Contact us to discuss your plans and we can find a solution together.

We are a full service wedding venue offering a wedding coordinator for your day, catering  and support to find your dream team of suppliers. If you want to coordinate an event with alternative caterers, we might not be the best fit for you. Feel free to contact us and we can chat about your wedding goals and see if we can accommodate you.

We love rain, it’s so good for our gardens and it fills our creeks and waterways, BUT, it can just go away on wedding days! Lucky for you, we’re obsessed with weather here at The Bower Estate and we have several handy guides depending on the season your wedding is in. Check out Winter Weddings at Bower, and Summer Weddings at Bower for more detailed information and ideas on managing your day. But also, in short, we have a gigantic undercover deck at The Cottage available for your exclusive use. Hosting up to 100 standing guests, The Cottage deck overlooks the Springbrook National park Escarpment and is surrounded by stunning cottage gardens. We absolutely love the deck ceremony location and you don’t have to sacrifice any of the views to be there.

We’ve got your back! It’s an absolute mine-field planning a wedding. From dresses, to wedding favours, playlists and speeches, it’s time to break it down into bite sized steps over the next few months. Check out our Planning Checklist for a quick head start. Our wedding coordinator will be in touch to organise a complimentary wedding planning session with you and throughout your journey you will have access to our online wedding planning portal which contains all the tools you need: budget, floorplans, itinerary, menus and more. And don’t worry, we give you templates for everything so you can tweak and perfect your wedding and you don’t have to start from scratch.

The Bower Estate is a rural hinterland retreat. The property features a mix of gravel driveways, grass, loose gravel and paved pathways between the reception marquee and bathroom facilities. Medium grade gravel pathways connect the undulating hilly locations between the carpark, ceremony and reception areas.

We recommend guests consider non-stiletto style heels for greater ease of access.

The property has options for ambulant and wheelchair guests.

If you have any concerns regarding access, please contact our friendly team. We would be more than happy to answer your questions and help navigate any access concerns.
